I'm a former univesity professor who taught Accounting, Statistics, and the Philosophy of Science. My BA in mathematics and PhD in Accounting are from the University of Texas at Austin, and I'm a CPA. UT Austin's Accounting program is one of the finest (perhaps the finest) such programs in the country, and it has been for many years. While in college, I was elected to the following scholastic honor societies:
Einstein and the philosophy of science have been my intellectual hobbies ever since my PhD program. I've taught at UCLA, the University of Illinois, and Ohio State University. I live in Kingwood, TX, which is in far northeast Houston (but within Houston's city limits). This native Texan (born in El Paso) has written 5 books: 1 on writing, 2 on education, 1 on Albert Einstein, and 1 on religion. Despite being heterosexual, I've never married. I enjoy golf, and I understand the golf swing's mechanics as well as (maybe better than!) any golf coach in this country. That understanding stems from my own analysis and trial-and-error learning. I never would give some of the advice that I occasionally see given on the internet or in magazines to solve a slice or to add 50 yards to your drive or to .... I've created an indoor driving range in my home. I hit foam golf balls into a sheet that I've hung from my home's 2nd-story balcony. The foam balls work perfectly. It can be raining outdoors, and I'm in my house working on my golf game.
