Home
For Literary Agents

  1. If you're not a literary agent, then this page has nothing for you; so please return to my home page and visit another section of my site.
  2. Whenever a literary agent decides not to represent author A, the agent should tell A the reason(s) for that negative decision. Without that information, A is hardpressed to eliminate the deficiencies. The situation is similar to that which exists when a teacher gives students an exam. Suppose student X scores 73 (a C) on the exam. Without knowing the reasons for not getting 100 on the exam, X will have trouble eliminating X's exam deficiencies. So please be considerate and convey to author A information that will help A eliminate the causes of your negative decision. If something I've written is poorly written, then tell me so! Then I can fix it. Unless I'm aware of a problem, I cannot solve it. I always welcome constructive criticism!
  3. If you have received a passcode from me, then please read this page's section B; otherwise, read this page's section A.

Section A

I’ve written 3 manuscripts, and I’m seeking a literary agent to represent me in finding a well-known company to publish them. Instead of emailing you documents, my query letter and book proposal for each of the 3 manuscripts are in this website's "secure area". If you want to read any of those documents, then please contact me (see the "Contact Me" link on my home page) and request a passcode whose entry will enable you to access my site's secure area. If you contact me, then please tell me about yourself and the literary agency with which you're affiliated. Once I'm convinced that you're legitimate, I’ll email you the aforesaid passcode along with instructions for its use.

Section B
For Those Who Have Received A Passcode From Me

This site's Secure Area begins by requiring you to log in by entering the passcode I sent you. After 3 failures to enter the correct passcode or if you click on the prompt box’s Cancel button, then you will be returned to this site’s home page. Upon the entry of the correct passcode, a menu containing the titles of each of my 3 manuscripts will appear. Clicking on any one of those titles opens the door to my query letter and book proposal for that manuscript. If you have questions, then use the "Contact Me" link on this site's home page to email me your question(s). I will respond promptly.
